David is such a big part of my tapestry, relating to TESC and my upbringing. He is one of a few that is always with me, in memory and feeling. I have a favorite memory of him. From when I was a young adult. We were sitting beside one another in an audiance at an event in Oly. I was was moved by what we were observing and began to cry. David reached out his hand to hold mine. It wouldnt have been appropriate for him to speak at that moment. I wasnt accustom to him being short on words! In that moment it felt as if an old growth Evergreen had embraced me, grounding me in the moment-so that my eyes could dry and I could continue sharing this performance in the company of our community.
